the wheel of time just spins and spins

I am in the process of preparing for a midterm for a course entitled “History of American Foreign Policy” I have names like William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, and Woodrow Wilson rolling around in my brain, these men being some of the giants of the American political pantheon. But as I read and think about these men and the decisions they made I can’t help but think the we as a nation just seem to make the same mistakes over and over and over again. The stories of their exploits is not all that dissimilar to the presidents I can remember in my own lifetime. It must be true that the more things change the more they stay the same.

I will definitely have to write more about this later, as this subject intrigues me, but right now I have to finish preparing for mid term tomorrow and I am feeling a bit sleepy
