I had such a little victory today. When I first got divorced I got a subscription to Maxim magazine. Looking back I am not really sure why now. I suspect it has something to do with trying to be "one of the guys" or some such bullshit. I know there are a lot worse magazines out there but as my walk with God began to get more personal I got more and more uncomfortable with this particular magazine. I had decided that I when the subscription ran out I would not renew it. (because I am too lazy to call and cancel it). Well anyway the last edition showed up in the mail today.... normally I felt compelled to look through it before I threw it away (since I had actually paid for it) but today without even so much as glancing through it. I threw it away. Was this some sort of great moral victory for mankind.... probably not. Was it a small step toward living the kind of life I feel Christ has called me to live ..... I am pretty sure it is.... One LIttle Victory ... indeed.
