Dog Days

Well Abby went to the vet yesterday.....and she is still one happy healthy 90lb german shepherd. Some may say....so what....we don't really want to hear about your dog....well to those I say to bad. My dog has faithfully seen me through 3 relationships, 3 jobs, 1 divorce. She has been there fore me though goods times and bad times. There have been times when I am certain that she was the only creature on the planet who was ever excited to see me. Everytime I come home I get the most incredible greeting....she is so excited she can barely contain herself(my ex wife was never that excited to see me). There have been times when my dog was the greatest and perhaps only example of God's love in my life. She has seen me through some dark days. My dog has never cared what I did for a living, how I looked, or what I was wearing...she doesn't care how much money I have or what kind of car I drive. All that matters to her is that I am home. What an incredible gift. I can picture God like that...he doesn't care where we have been....he is happy that we have come home.
